Project Healthy Minds and Music Health Alliance Partner to Support Music Industry Mental Health

Two leading forces in health advocacy are joining efforts to prioritize the wellbeing of those behind the music. Project Healthy Minds, a leading mental health nonprofit, and Music Health Alliance, the nation’s trusted advocate for healthcare access in the music industry, have announced a strategic partnership designed to expand mental health support for music professionals across the country.

This groundbreaking collaboration will combine research-driven insights, digital innovation, and sustainable care pathways to meet the evolving needs of artists, crew members, and industry professionals.

At the heart of the partnership is the launch of a custom digital discovery platform, powered by Project Healthy Minds’ technology and integrated directly into the Music Health Alliance website. This new resource will provide a fast, confidential way for music professionals to find trusted mental health services tailored to their unique schedules and pressures.

The platform will feature:

  • Easy, expert-reviewed access to a variety of mental health services

  • Custom filters by challenge, price, location, and more

  • Comprehensive care options from self-care tools to crisis intervention

  • Specialized resources for children and teens

“Music professionals give so much of themselves to the world, often at great personal cost,” said Tatum Hauck Allsep, Founder and CEO of Music Health Alliance. “The first step in this partnership ensures that safe, confidential, and trusted mental health support is available quickly and easily to music industry professionals wherever and whenever there is a need.”

“The music industry faces mental health challenges at rates higher than the general public,” added Phil Schermer, Founder and CEO of Project Healthy Minds. “This partnership is about breaking barriers and getting support to those who power the music we love.”

Beyond the platform, both organizations plan to collaborate on research, data-driven reports, and content initiatives that shine a light on the mental health realities within the music community. Future activations may include events and awareness campaigns aimed at fostering a culture of care within the industry.
